The Crying Stone, PAG, another
Haircut, and Kwa Heri to Kasavai and Kakamega
Saturday was filled with a short good-bye (Kwa Heri) in
Kasavai accompanied by a Luhya dance plus raw eggs, ground nuts, and amaranth seeds
to go. Tomorrow brings an even shorter
good-bye to Kakamega and our friends at the Golf and a long bus ride to Nakuru.
Today we visited the Crying Stone of Ilesi. Lots
of folklore surrounds this plutonic stone, and every tale, no matter how much
it diverges from others is believed. We
have heard or read at least ten regarding its origin and magical powers. See
some at http://www.articlesbase.com/exotic-locations-articles/the-crying-stone-of-ilesi-kakamega-kenya-2249835.html.
A P.A.G. (Pentacostal Assembly of God) gathering in Miluru Gardens followed another haircut today at the Ashlyleon Salon and
Kinyozi. Those bananas are for the gatherred crowd. And that’s my barber!
